Poinciana Seaside Resort & Retreat Centre
Description
Nestled on the serene shores of North Bali, Poinciana Seaside Resort & Retreat Centre offers an authentic Balinese beachfront experience far from the crowds of Ubud and Canggu. One of the last unspoiled beachfront retreat venues on the island, Poinciana is the ideal home for yoga retreats, wellness programs, leadership experiences, and group immersions.
With 21 rooms across 16 independently bookable units, the resort comfortably accommodates groups of 30 guests sleeping alone, or up to 42 when couples share the double-bed rooms. All rooms are set within a tended tropical garden filled with frangipani trees and flowering plants, steps from a calm, swimmable sea with a natural reef about 50 metres out.
Practice spaces cover both indoor and outdoor needs: two shalas (one air-conditioned with sea views, one covered and open-air facing Mount Batur), a beachfront lawn for outdoor sessions, and two pools (one larger and more sheltered, one directly on the beach). A full-service spa offers treatments indoors as well as on the beach, and the team can arrange traditional and spiritual Balinese ceremonies, cultural activities, and excursions across the island.
Food is taken seriously: the restaurant offers a traditional Balinese menu alongside a dedicated Longevity Menu built on local ingredients, with dietary requirements planned in advance with the retreat leader. Meals are served in two dining areas, including a beachfront terrace suited to sunset dinners. Hygiene standards are consistently high throughout.
Every group is assigned a dedicated retreat coordinator, a native English speaker, who works with the leader from the first planning conversation through to checkout, handling room allocation, dietary needs, schedule, activities, and transfers.
Poinciana is available for exclusive venue buyout or mixed occupancy. With a buyout, the retreat leader’s room is complimentary. The resort is competitively priced for groups and is an exceptional alternative to South Bali venues. It works particularly well as part of a two-destination Bali itinerary: groups often combine Ubud for inward work and stillness with Poinciana for the sea, open space, and rest. The two locations complement rather than compete with each other.
Guests consistently describe Poinciana as the Bali they came looking for: quiet, genuine, and still truly Balinese.
