How To Get Here: Granada is the closest airport - around 1 hour away by car. Malaga is the other airport option - around 1.5 hours away by car. It's worth noting that while Granada is closer, more frequent international flights land into Malaga. With more people coming into Malaga this offers more options for ride shares and transfers. Buses There are buses from the bus station in Granada and Malaga to Órgiva, run by ALSA - you can check out their website - www.alsa.com
Things To Do Nearby: We are nestled in the Spanish Alpujarra mountains. Close to a town called Órgiva, which is a popular tourist visiting location, home to a unique community of international people. Órgiva is a traditional Spanish town, with a host of independent retailers, including local bakeries, organic cafes and health food shops. Plus a weekly food and craft market and lots of other cultural events typically on offer. We are close to the historical cities of Malaga and Granada, the gorgeous Southern Mediterranean coastline, the famous ‘Alpujarra white villages’ and the Sierra Nevada National Park.

Your retreat dates must be specified at the time of your reservation.
An initial Reservation payment of €600 is required to secure your dates.
This is based on a retreat of up to 7 days.
For longer retreats eg. Yoga Teacher Training, please contact us.
The €600 deposit counts towards the total payment for your booking.
(This is less than the standard charge of 25% of the total cost based on
the minimum booking of 4 nights.)
The €600 payment is payable by Bank Transfer.

All and any transfer fees are payable by you. Payment must be in euros.
Your reservation will be held until 6 months prior to your retreat start
date, at which point you proceed to Step Two.
Once you have completed ‘Step One’ we send you marketing material
and images to include in the promotion of your retreat. We can share
your brochure and web event link via our own channels and platforms.
STEP TWO
Six months prior to your retreat start date a Confirmation Payment of
€800 is owed to us via bank transfer or through Wise.
All and any transfer fees are payable by you.
The €800 counts towards the total payment of your booking and
reconfirms our agreement for the specified dates.
If we have not received written cancellation or entered into
negotiation for the 2nd Confirmation Payment before the 6 months
payment due date, you are liable for the payment.
STEP THREE
One month before your retreat start date we will issue an invoice for the
payment of your final balance.
The final balance payment is payable by bank transfer 2 weeks before
the start date of your retreat or can be paid in cash on your arrival.
CANCELLATION
Should you choose to cancel your retreat, the €600 reservation deposit
is non refundable. For cancellations within 6 months, the second
deposit of €800 is refunded only at our discretion and with the
deduction of a €100 admin fee. Should we have to cancel
your retreat, all deposits will be fully refunded.
MEDIA
Upon booking your retreat with us, we will send you a ‘Media Pack’ with
high resolution images, written descriptions of the venue and links
to our social media platforms. We will also share your social media
postings through our own social media accounts to maximise coverage
and booking potential.

If payment of the deposits are not received by the due dates, we have the right to cancel the reservation and retain any deposits

The Final Balance Payment shall be paid 2 weeks prior to the retreat
start date by Bank Transfer or on arrival at House of Light in cash.
Payment of the €600 Reservation Deposit indicates you have fully read
the Leader Payment & Booking Guide and accepted our
Terms and Conditions.
The Reservation Deposit is non refundable and the Confirmation
deposit is refundable solely at our discretion. Any refunds made, will
deduct a €100 admin fee. It may be possible and only with the
agreement to transfer paid deposits to future dates.
Booking priority will be given to clients who have met our requirements
for deposits and payment.
Unless otherwise agreed, it is the responsibility of the course Leader to
take all payment from their guests and to allocate rooms as they see
appropriate.
All correspondence relating to Bookings/Cancellations must be made in
writing, via email.
We Public Liability Insurance.We ask that Leaders
provide us with evidence of their own insurance relevant to the work
they are conducting on site.
We have our own general Terms & Conditions for anyone staying at
the venue and ask that this is shared with guests in advance. We
will also review this informally, with all guests on their arrival.
We are legally required to retain a list of all guest details; Name, Home
Address & Passport Number. We also request email, phone and
emergency contact plus any special dietary requirements or health
considerations.
We advise fully comprehensive travel insurance for Leaders
and guests. We will not be held liable for any flight or travel
costs incurred.
We welcome the opportunity to photograph any aspects of a retreat
that a Leader agrees to but offer all Leaders and guests the opportunity
to opt out of this and/or approve any photos before they are used.
Although never expected or anticipated, things outside of House of
Light’s control can happen at the retreat location that may prevent the
retreat from going ahead (damage, weather, fires, etc). Because of this,
any travel booked more than 30 days out is not recommended. We
would strongly advise leaders to ensure their guests take appropriate
holiday/travel insurance. House of Light will not be held responsible for
the cost of any travel booked if a change or cancellation has to occur.
If we have to cancel a retreat we guarantee a full refund to
the Leader OR an opportunity to transfer the retreat to another date,
subject to availability. We take no responsibility for Leader
or guests’ travel booked or other costs incurred.
The Leader and their guests shall not use the retreat property except
for permitted use and shall not use the property for any offensive, noisy,
dangerous, illegal, entertainment or improper purposes. The leader
and/or guests shall not do anything which may be a nuisance or
annoyance to our venue and its guests, staff, owners or
neighbours.
The Leader shall keep all fixtures, fittings, furniture and effects on the
property, where the retreat is held, in a clean and good condition and
shall pay damages to the property owner for any articles which are
destroyed, damaged or missing.
We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage of
personal possessions or valuables of the Leaders during their stay here.
The Leader must ensure that he/she and their guests are emotionally
well and medically and physically fit and able to use our facilities as
we will not accept any responsibility for injury or illness
sustained during their stay. We ask all Leaders and guests to
acknowledge, read and sign our Health & Safety protocol and
disclaimer.
