La Senda Transformational Center
Description
La Senda is a world-renowned wellness center located 15 minutes from Tamarindo Beach, set on a 74-acre estate in the tropical dry forest of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
The Property Situated in a valley surrounded by hills, the estate offers a secluded environment sheltered by nature. The land is home to howler monkeys, a variety of mammals, and numerous tropical bird species.
The Labyrinth La Senda houses the world’s largest labyrinth, the first to be certified by the United Nations under the Senderos de Paz Madre Tierra program. Located at the heart of the tropical dry forest, it provides visitors with a rare and contemplative experience.
Organic Farming The property includes extensive organic vegetable gardens, developed in partnership with Cala Luna Hotel. Guided visits allow guests to learn about biodiversity practices, water conservation, soil management, and the production of organic fertilizers.
Our Mission La Senda welcomes guests seeking personal growth, spiritual development, and a meaningful connection with nature in a setting where sustainability and conscious living are central to daily life.
La Senda, set on a 74-acre estate in the tropical dry forest of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, isn’t just a venue you book — it’s a place that actively supports the work you facilitate. As a facilitator, you’ll notice the difference immediately: groups tend to drop in faster here.
At the center of the property lies the labyrinth, often described as the pulsing heart of La Senda. Built around two oppositely charged energy centers, it invites presence from the moment participants arrive.
The property itself is intentionally designed for transformation, featuring an air-conditioned dome beside the labyrinth for expansive yet contained sessions, multiple breakout areas for small group integration, and natural gathering spaces that foster connection with ease. To complement your program, La Senda offers access for practices such as temazcal, sound journeys, cacao ceremonies, plant-based work ceremonies, breathwork, inner judge sessions, guided visit of our bee hives, and tea gatherings in the medicinal garden.
What often stands out is the balance between simplicity and depth: a glamping-style experience that is comfortable and beautiful without over-conditioning the environment, encouraging deeper connection to self, others, and nature.
Food is another cornerstone, with meals prepared from organic fruits and vegetables harvested daily from the 2-hectare garden, thoughtfully aligned with the arc of your retreat, whether that means light, clean meals, for deep inner work or more celebratory dining moments to close a journey.
Behind the scenes, the space is built with facilitators in mind — the owners and team bring extensive retreat experience, offering intuitive support around flow, timing, and the details that shape a meaningful experience. And beyond all of this, there’s an intangible quality — a grounded, welcoming energy that helps people feel safe enough to open, while still inviting expansion.
