Wadi Rum Camp
Description
Wadi Rum Camp is located in the protected area of Wadi Rum, in Siq al Burrah – very close to Lawrence House. The camp is hidden and cannot be seen. It is a very quiet area, surrounded by Mountains. Birds, camels, cats, goats and other animals are to be found here.
We can arrange any desert trip, excursions to any other destination in Jordan as Petra, Dead Sea, Aqaba and Amman, and offer prices for transfers in Jordan, guides and help with the programme.
Our cook is Jordanian and prepares various salads, vegetables, rice dishes, pasta, vegetarian dishes and traditional Bedouin and Arabic cuisine with chicken and fish. There is always a selection of vegetarian dishes. We prepare vegan dishes on request. In the morning we serve fruit, yoghurt and cereals, bread, eggs and a variety of spreads and vegetables.
We offer the possibility to refill drinking water in our lounge tent, tea and coffee is available 24/7.
Our common bathroom has western toilets and hot water for showers – as we try to generate most of the electricity we need from solar energy, it is advisable to shower during the day 😉 For larger groups, however, we use the generator.
In the lounge tent we have plenty of sockets for a wide variety of connections where our guests can charge their devices.
Wifi is available to the group leaders free of charge. For our guests, access otherwise costs 10 JOD per tent for the duration of their stay – 5 JOD per tent for one night. However, we always ask our groups to bear in mind that it is nice to be unavailable in the desert. Our team is advised not to make phone calls in front of their eyes and ears. We are always available in an emergency!
