A haven for Wellbeing
Description
Managed by the Network of Wellbeing (NOW) charity, who acquired these 200-year old barns through a generous gift in 2018. NOW continues using Eden Rise for wellbeing-related residential hires, as well as facilitating their own events.
Situated only two miles from Totnes town centre, and nearby Dartington Estate, River Dart, Dartmoor National Park, it’s the perfect location for wilderness, tranquillity and rejuvenation.
The barns can accommodate a maximum of up to 20 guests (10-12 single occupancy available). The main building comprises of six main bedrooms for 17 guests (1 single room with a small double bed, 3 twin rooms, 2 small double and 2 twin pod rooms in a larger dormitory style room), and if using the option to convert the lounge into another sleeping space this can accommodate an extra people in our sofa beds.
Our two 3M heated bell tents are open from May-Sept and house small double futon beds, located on our secluded grassy terraces. These terraces can accommodate two camping tents the rest of the year, and we also allow two small campervans in the car park, for additional fees.
This unique property includes: one large main workshop hall and one big bright lounge hall, both opening out to the sunny back terrace garden; spacious ground floor kitchen/dining area; sheltered courtyard garden with plenty of tables for alfresco dining and features an open fire pit; ample shower and toilet facilities; outdoor seating areas with a large BBQ fire bowl, on-site parking for 8-10 small vehicles, and a separate woodburning sauna facility.
