The goal of RetreatVenues.com is to connect retreat organisers and retreat leaders to retreat venue owners worldwide. We make it easy, quick and safe for you to find and book venues for your next retreat. You can see the real-time availability calendar with transparent prices of venues that made this possible, so you can easily compare and book them.

No, absolutely not! We don’t charge any booking fees from retreat organisers. The booking fee is different from the deposit fee, the security deposit fee and the service fee. With our best price guarantee, you can also be sure that you are paying the lowest price available.

The platform uses various fees which shouldn’t be confused. 

Booking fee: We don’t charge organisers an extra fee to make the booking, so the booking fee is zero.

Deposit fee: Organisers pay a certain amount of deposit fee to confirm their booking.

Security deposit fee: If the owner asks for this, organisers also pay a security deposit fee which covers damages. This is refundable if no damages occured.

Just click on the button on the top right corner of the page that says Sign Up, and select the option: I only want to book. You will receive a password generated for you by email. After logging in, you can verify yourself by uploading a photo of your face and a photo of your official ID card. This helps to make the site safer for everybody.

We ask all venue owners to verify themselves by photo and ID card. If an owner is verified by ID card, you will see a “Verified” status on their profile, under their photo.

Yes, you can communicate freely with the owner in our internal messaging system and also exchange contact information.

Just remember to send us an email after you booked the venue so that we can promote your retreat for free.

The best way to find a venue is to navigate to this page first: Find a Venue. You can search by location, proximity, number of guests, type, space, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, proximity to airport and environment. By clicking on ‘Suitable for’, you can also select the type of retreats hosted.

First, login to your account or register if you haven’t done so yet.

After you found a venue you like, navigate to its listing page and find the booking form on the right sidebar.  Select check-in and check-out dates, the number of guests, a custom message and click on the button: Your Message.

The venue host will be notified about this in email, and will contact you in 24-48 hours. 

To confirm your booking, you need to pay a deposit fee defined by the venue. You can check under the listing’s cancellation policy, whether this deposit is refundable or not. Until you don’t pay this deposit fee, your booking is not confirmed.

After the venue confirmed your booking, send us an email, so we can start promoting your event.

The payments on our platform are traditional bank wire payments unless the host specifies another option. You always pay directly to the host and not to us. We don’t provide any kind of payment facilities, and we are not responsible for the payments you make.

There is no automatic way to cancel your booking after it was confirmed. To cancel your booking, you need to contact the host directly by sending an internal message. Please be aware that you can cancel your booking only according to the cancellation policy set by the individual venue host. We are not responsible for refunds or cancellations, this is always between the host and the retreat organiser.

Yes, every booking on our platform includes free retreat promotion. Just send us an email after booking the venue!

We ask all retreat organisers to verify themselves by email, photo and ID card, but it is not obligatory.

Yes, you can communicate with the organiser in our internal messaging system and also exchange contact information. However, you are obligated to report to us every confirmed booking that you received from us by sending us an email.

If you fail to do so, we will permanently ban you from using our platform in the future.

When potential clients have questions or express interest in your listing, they’ll reach out to you via our secure messaging system. You’ll receive email notifications for each new message. You must promptly answer these messages or contact the organiser in other ways in 24 hours.

We welcome retreat centers, hotels and all types of venues around the world, who are prepared to host groups and retreats. You should be able to host at least 8 people, and preferably offer the whole venue for hire, or at least a private space for groups. Your venue should be equipped with the right type of facilities for the right type of retreat.

You will always get paid directly by the client and not through us. We don’t provide any payment facilities and we are not responsible for refunds or cancellations. The organisers cannot pay directly on the platform by card or any other way.

The standard method of payment is traditional bank transfer, unless you choose something else. You are responsible for sending your payment details and payment instructions to organisers and also for sending them your invoice. 

When an organiser wants to rent your venue, he/she will select the dates and the number of guests, and click on Send Message. You will get an email notification about this, and will have to login to your account and check your internal inbox.

You can answer the client directly in the private message or exchange contact details. If you agreed on everything and ready to take the payment, you will have to send the invoice to the client in email and CC info@retreatvenues.com, as well. You also need to send your payment details and instructions in that email.

Before a booking is confirmed, you can easily reject a booking request by sending an internal message to the client with the reason of rejection.

After a booking is confirmed, you cannot cancel a booking freely. Please only cancel a booking only if absolutely necessary. The retreat organisers count on you to provide exact availability and pricing details, which you already confirmed when accepting the request. Canceling a confirmed booking is bad business for everybody. If you cancel the booking, you are responsible for refunding the client fully and you will still owe us the 7% commission of the full amount.

If the retreat organiser asks you to cancel the booking, you will have to apply the cancellation policy that you set at the time of booking. We normally recommend to set the deposit fee as non-refundable. To prove that the cancellation request was initiated by the client, the client has to contact you in our internal messaging system about the cancellation request.

If an owner cancels a booking because of non-payment by the organiser, it will be regarded as a cancellation initiated by the organiser.

Yes, you can set your own booking policy, but it must be clear and you must add it to your listing. For example, you can ask for a deposit to confirm the booking, require partial payments and decide on the timeframes.

You can also decide about your cancellation policy for each listing. For example, you can make the deposit non-refundable, or not give any refunds 15 days before check-in. You have to explain your cancellation policy clearly when creating a listing.

In order to keep our platform competitive, we offer a Best Price Guarantee to retreat leaders. This means that your listing should offer pricing that is consistent with or lower than what you provide on other platforms where you list your venue, including your own website.

Yes, we create your listing for you. We use publicly available data to add your venue, and then you can check it and edit it afterwards. Please select the listing you want here.

You have almost complete control. Manage your calendar availability, block unavailable periods, update pricing, and make other adjustments whenever you wish. You can add a separate weekend price, set number of minimum days, or give discounts for +6 days, +30 days bookings or for early bookings. With the detailed price adjustments, you can set seasonal prices or even different prices for each day if you want.

Yes, you can easily synchronise your calendar with other platforms and keep your availability up-to-date to avoid double bookings.

You can sync with Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, your Google Calendar and any other platform that uses the iCal feed technology.

You can export the iCal feed of the given listing under My Listings – Calendar – Import/export iCalendar feeds. You can import maximum 3 feeds to our platform.

We may sometimes create a venue listing on our own. In this case, the real owner of the venue may claim this listing by sending us an email. The owner will have to register on our platform as such, fill out the profile details and upload a photo and ID verification.

After we verified the owner’s profile and the ownership, we will transfer the listing to the owner’s account.
